Social Group Activities

Activities for people eligible for neighbour aid services are provided as follows:

Mah-Jong players meet fortnightly at the Neighbourhood Centre on Thursday between 10.30am and 2.00pm. Refreshments are provided - Contribution $3.00 - $5.00

Transport can be arranged if required - Contribution: $10.00

 

Yarning is held on the 2nd Thursday and each Friday of the month 10.30am – 12.30pm at KNC. Our Yarning Group chat and work with yarns of all types. We have people who knit, sew, crochet and make lace.

Transport can be arranged if required – Contributions: $10.00

 

Musical Matinees are held on Tuesday at 11.00 am at Glen Street Theatre, Belrose, most months. We arrange group bookings or individual bookings as required. Advance booking and payment required.

Ticket: $29.00 including transport to and from home

 

Theatre Matinees are held on Wednesday at 11.00 am at Glen Street Theatre, Belrose once monthly. Advance booking and payment is required.

Concession ticket: $40

Transport: $20 (out of local area)

 

Roseville or Hornsby Cinema outings are arranged by special request. A volunteer driver/companion will accompany the client. Advance notice is essential.

The cost of ticket plus transport contribution of $10.00 (Ku-ring-gai local area) or $15 (Hornsby local area)

 

Social Outings e.g. to local garden nurseries, coffee shops etc with a volunteer companion/driver are occasionally arranged on request.

In addition group outings are occasionally arranged to various local scenic spots.
