Everyone at KNC was saddened at the news of the death of our Chairman, John Bagley on June 30th 2018. John led our organisation with grace, dedication and skill through the many recent changes to the Aged Care system. He is survived by his wife Beverley and children Christine, Susie and Doug and their families. He will be greatly missed by all.
Peter is a chartered accountant who has worked as a Senior Auditor, Financial Director and Managing Director of European Optical and OPSM. He has held a number of different positions on Management Committees such as Vice President, President, Chair of Finance and Deputy Chairman. During his time at KNC he has held the position of President and is currently Vice President. He has a family of four children and 9 grandchildren. His interests are golf, travel and rugby union.
Frances joined KNC in 2008 and joined the Management Committee serving as President, vice-President and Secretary . She is also one of the coordinators for the Mah-jong group and also assists in many administrative duties.
Frances has a keen interest in the ethos of KNC to help the elderly stay in their own homes and in providing social interaction for members of the local community.
Paul Locke was a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse for 14 years; then Group Controller with William Adams and following takeovers and spin-outs by BHP, retired as Company Secretary of Arrium (formerly OneSteel).Paul spent 20 years as Treasurer of Georgian House aged care facility which merged with Wesley Gardens.Paul has been with KNC for 4 years and has served on the Management Committee as Secretary and Treasurer.
Dinshaw graduated as a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Law and is a Chartered Accountant. He worked for General Electric Company (GEC) for over 40 years holding down various financial roles. He rose to Financial Director of New Zealand and the Financial Director of Australia.
Dinshaw has a long association with KNC through his wife Gooloo who served as Manager and subsequently a member of the committee for many years. He has one son and two grandchildren.
He enjoys playing golf and has been the club treasurer at Avondale Golf Club.
Chief Executive Officer
Michele has a degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Queensland and is currently studying for her Masters in Community Development. She has an extensive history of working in both the public and private sector. She is married with two children and lives in St Ives. Michele joined KNC as a volunteer in 2013 and the Management Committee in 2014. She was appointed General Manager in 2016.
Jan Kirkland B Ed
Jan became a volunteer with KNC in 2010 after retiring from the NSW Dept. of Education as an Assistant Principal and choir teacher / Performing Arts Coordinator in various schools in Sydney throughout her career. At KNC Jan initially assisted with the English Conversation class before becoming a Reception/Information Desk volunteer and working as a tutor and coordinator of the Mah-jong social group. She is an active member of the Management Committee having been a team leader and past Vice President.
Jan enjoys the congeniality and caring attitude of the staff and volunteers of KNC who work to make such a difference to members of our community.
Noshir Irani (JP)
Has had many years of senior management experience in multinational companies. He was also a Managing Director of a mid-size company for the last 8 years till retirement in 2006. Currently actively involved in several community organisations like KNC and Meals-on- wheels.
Isabel has been a KNC volunteer in various roles for over 20 years. A member of the Management Committee for much of that time, including the position of President for 5 years, she believes strongly in the changing role of KNC in our community.
A former English Conversation Class Coordinator she is now one of the Coordinators of the Yarning Group.
Danny Houseas: Manager Community Services, Ku-ring-gai Council
